East Falls Church is an Arlington, Virginia neighborhood located right at the eastern border of Falls Church. This means that the neighborhood has the best of both worlds: a location close to the development of both Arlington and Falls Church. However, it wasn’t always that way. This diverse neighborhood joined Arlington in 1936, after being a part of the town of Falls Church for 30 years.

This Arlington neighborhood is situated along the border of Falls Church, from Roosevelt Street to N West Street. The community then continues east to N Trinidad Street, south down N Trinidad Street, north up N Sycamore Street, east along 27th St N, south down N John Marshall Drive, west along Lee Highway, and south along N Quantico Street to I-66, then back down N Roosevelt Street to the beginning of the neighborhood.

East Falls Church has a great mix of single-family homes, townhomes, and condos throughout the neighborhood. Single-family homes tend to be in the Colonial style, but there are exceptions, with some Cape Cods, ramblers, and Craftsman. These homes range not only in style, but also in size. Some homes are on the larger side, with 6000+ square feet, but smaller homes can also be found in the neighborhood, more around the 2000 square foot range. As far as townhomes, East Falls Church has a good amount of communities to choose from. Fenwick Court is a community of 30 townhomes located about 2 blocks from the East Falls Church metro station. These townhomes feature patios, 2-car garages, and desirable interior features. Madison Mews is another townhouse community in the neighborhood and has homes with brick exteriors, 3-4 levels of living space, and lots of high-end finishes. Similar to the townhomes in the area, condominiums in East Falls Church are located close to the metro. WestLee is a condo community is a mixed-use development with 128 condos. The building includes great amenities including a party room, fitness facility, and outdoor plazas.
Things to Do in East Falls Church
Since this neighborhood is so close to Falls Church, many of the closest entertainment and dining options are just across the Arlington border. For dining and going out, residents can take a quick drive over to Argia’s Italian Restaurant, Mad Fox Brewing Company and Spacebar. The State Theatre is another spot for entertainment right in the neighborhood’s backyard. This former movie theater has been converted into a live music venue and hosts bands and performers every weekend.
Enjoying the Great Outdoors in East Falls Church
East Falls Church is a great spot for outdoor recreation, with numerous parks and trails nearby. Both the Four Mile Run Trail and the Washington & Old Dominion Trail have access points right in the neighborhood. There also are a couple of great green spaces and parks throughout the neighborhood ideal for getting some fresh air. Tuckahoe Park is located right off of Lee Highway and has 12 acres of space with baseball fields, lighted tennis courts, a playground and an amphitheater. Charles A. Stewart Park is just a block away from Tuckahoe Park and has 4 acres of space with fields, a gazebo and a playground.
Getting Around East Falls Churh
Driving is the most popular mode of transport in East Falls Church, and getting from here to there could not be easier with the many major access roads in the neighborhood. Since the community hugs both I-66 and Lee Highway, getting in and around Washington, DC is super convenient. As far as public transportation goes, this area is serviced mainly by the East Falls Church Metro, with Orange and Silver Line service to Washington, DC and out to Tysons Corner and Reston.
